Watch four weeks of construction of Art of Space’s “Knitting Space,” opening night with MSU Inertia Dance Company’s improvisational choreography and later, kids of all ages responding to the art environment in this stop-motion video.

Knitting Space installation was created by Drury University’s Art of Space Art and Architecture students and faculty, lead by Gerard Nadeau, in collaboration with the ideaXfactory, RuBert Studios & community volunteers for the December 2011 First Friday Artwalk in downtown Springfield, MO. Interactive spatial lighting by Russ RuBert changes colors in relation to the activities and time of day. The song “Up in the Business” by Springfield indie band Dragon Inn 3 is from their recently released Ghoul School EP and was used with permission.
