Workshop: Learning with Each Other

Radical Intention is a collaborative Italian-based artist group visiting the United States. In collaboration with Sarrita Hunn and Drury University Summer Institute of Visual Arts, the ideaXfactory will host this free workshop.

Through research­ driven approaches, Radical Intention expands possibilities for collective experiences\actions focusing on the relationship between social­political and artistic practice. Collaboration, alternative education, gatherings, and the role of hospitality play a vital role in the methodology and concepts of the group.

By actively involving workshop participants, Radical Intention will present a survey of exercises from past projects with the intent to transform the workshop into a group learning experience and raise such questions as:

– Can the simple act of ‘gathering’ be the basis for discovering and articulating new possibilities?
– What makes a group work? What determines consensus in group working?
– How might we utilize the time and space allotted to create models of ‘productive’ coexistence together?
