Sculpture X-Games Kick-off Party on April 28

2018 Sculpture X-Games is a week-long creative competition April 28-May 4, between teams of artists who create an installation on any theme, using any materials outside the ideaXfactory!

Our outdoor kick-off party on International Sculpture Day 2018 on Saturday, April 28 from 2-7 p.m. will feature hot aluminum pours by MoState Sculpture Club, raku firings and a community clay build area by Missouri State University Clayworks, DIY hands-on sculpture building for the public, and more. Installation constructions will continue through the following week, and the final installations will be on exhibition for the May 4th First Friday Art Walk.

This event is free and open to the public. This year International Sculpture Day is being celebrated in a big way through out Springfield - it's also the day that Sculpture Walk Springfield is hosting their 2018 sculpture reveal party at Mother's Brewing Company, so pedicabs will be in route between downtown sculpture locations and sculpture will be everywhere!
