Echoes-of-Humanity-poster3Five emerging artists and graduates of MSU Art + Design program fill the interior space of the ideaXfactory with their contemporary clay installations exploring themes of anonymous secrets, taboos, distant cultures, soldier and civilian losses, and a garden of reflection. The opening reception will be during First Friday Art Walk on October 2, 2015 from 6 to 10 p.m., and the exhibition will also be open during the ideaXfest on Friday, October 9 from 6-10:30 p.m.

– Sumi Casey explores the unspoken through an interactive installation allowing the public to share secrets anonymously.

– Issac Johnson looks at the taboo, forcing the viewer to confront the stigmas that many deny still exist.

– Tawn Dickison relates her personal experiences in a distant culture though her dynamic digital/ceramic art.

– John Gueltzau explores what he has lost and what he now carries with him as soldier and civilian.

– Katie McCormack invites you to enter her garden of reflection.
