Yesterday during the Drawing Marathon, our visiting artist Shane Savage-Rumbaugh demonstrated the Japanese art of Suminagashi. Using a brush dipped in ink, Shane dotted the surface of water with layered rings, then swirled the pattern by blowing gently on the water.
